Foul Balls: WKND vs. Nike SB On The Baseball Diamond

Saying that everything WKND does is great would be a little too congratulatory, but we wouldn’t be far off. So it makes sense that when they team up with a company like Nike SB they’re going to do some next level shit. This particular shit being a full blown baseball game putting the WKND boys against the finely tuned athletes on the Nike SB team. Sports are for jocks, but fun is for skateboarders and this was the best version of a baseball game you could ever imagine. From fights, to heckling, to cheating, it had more excitement in 5 innings than I’ve seen from anything in the majors. When we showed up, we legit thought we were accidentally at a real baseball game until we recognized Koston.

WKND head coach Grant Yansura was making sure everything was in order for an ass whooping.

SB spared no expense when it came to commentary. Mike Sinclair, Dan Rogers, and Skate Talk Bob were prepped to tear everyone apart all night long.

They also had hot dogs! Who does this glorious morsel belong to?

Of course it does...

This aint Boosh’s first rodeo with wiener...

Holy shit! WKND brought in some ringers! Danny Garcia blessed the old diamond with his presence.

Jo Jo!!!

Stefan Janoski brought his very own mascot!

The swag was very appropriate.

Koston is always just oozing style… well almost always.

The excuse for all of this. Thank you...

Even Bam made it out to the WKND dugout!

The boys of bummer.

John Fitzgerald showed up to take a five inning nap. Good work out there John!

Right off the bat, Yatsura was looking heated.

All it took was a little chin music to set him off!

In the first inning he stormed the mound and tackled SB pitcher Guy Mariano!

As expected, Guy put him in his place.

He wasn’t done yet though...

Then the catcher, Scuba Steve jumped in and all hell broke loose!

Shit was getting real dangerous out there!

Sinclair was enjoying the brawl over a nice spread of baseball snacks.

After that inning came the dizzy tre flip contest! Stefan Janoski and Alex Schmitt battled it out after 10 revolutions around the old bat!

Stefan stomped the dizzy flip to give Nike a 4 run bonus and put them back in the game!

Then everyone got sparked to skate and the game kind of stopped for a minute.

Blake Carpenter worked on his power sliding into third base.

Koston had a worm burner of a 360 flip ready to go on the sidelines.

Like Clark Kent with his cape hanging out of his pants, Jordan Taylor set up at third with his Bam belt still around his waist.

After knocking a two run homer, Nike SB team manager, Ryan Bobier shows us all what bad sportsmanship is all about.

After SB mounted a comeback the WKND boys had to figure out a new plan.

Intimidation! Get in their heads with the girly bat, that ought to do it! Suck it Stefan!

Didn’t work... Stefan brought Blake in for another run...

Ah! The old pickle situation! Classic Sandlot...

Nothing like sliding some product placement right into first base.

WKND held Nike off through their last at bat, it was so close now!

Koston was on the mound through the end and he was handing out runs like candy on Halloween.

After trying to take his head off, Koston gave up a banger to Johan that really sealed SB’s fate.

After smashing his teammates head into home plate Johan and The WKND boys were up a few more runs.

Even after some light head trauma it was all smiles!

Grant was really ready to put the nail in SB’s coffin...

And it’s outta here! Hopefully he negotiated his royalties on that shoe before the game...

Game over! WKND takes it home! The underdogs pulled it off! Congratulations boys, on the win and the shoes!
