Skateboard Deck Width
Recommended deck width based
on rider age and size
Deck Width: | 7.0" & Under | 7.1" - 7.45" | 7.5" & Up |
Height: | 4' 4" or Smaller | 4' 5" to 5'2" | 5' 3" or Taller |
Age: | 8 Years or Younger | 9 to 12 Years | 13 Years or Older |
Shoe Size: | Kids 5 or Smaller | Mens 6-8 |
Mens 9 or Larger
|
Sizing is mostly based on feet. If it's comfortable under your feet when riding, it's a good size for you.
When choosing a deck size, don't just think about the rider's size, but also the type of riding.
As a general rule, wider decks are good for vert riding (ramps, pools) and cruising because they're more stable. They're also good for bigger riders.
Narrower decks are good for street tricks like kickflips because they're more responsive. They're also best for smaller riders.
Deck Width: | 7.45" & Under | 7.5" - 8.0" | 8.0" - 8.25" | 8.25" & Up |
Recommended Style: | All around riding for kids 14 & under | Street & Technical tricks | Pools, Ramps, Parks, & All Around | Vert, Pools, & Cruising |

Customer Reviews
Product is great customer service not so much
I purchased a new board for my 7 yr old that has taken to skate boarding and doing very well at our local skate park etc. originally I bought him a CCS complete board, basic $85 board. He's worn it out so I decided to get him another and this time I wanted to invest in upgraded parts etc. I did, over $200 in this board and when I received it it was like 6 inches shorter than his first CCS board. I didn't realize the length was shorter on the website. I emailed CCS to see what my options were or if they had any “ scratched “ or messed up boards I could purchase at a discounted rate or even maybe a option of returning it and getting what I needed. No response. I get it, it's my fault. But to not even offer a suggestion like “ we sell blemished boards cheep†nothing. I did go back on their website and found blemished boards. And I bought one, their products are good . Service will leave you hanging if you have a problem. That's sad,
Really good board
This is a really good quality skateboard.
GREAT
GREAT
Awesome setup
My 4 year old son has been wanting a board of his own for awhile now and I couldn't find anything reasonably priced or small enough for him. Just received this board and he is so happy, it is very well built with all good quality parts. Will definitely buy all our skate products from CCS from now on!!!
Just what I was looking for!
Decades ago I use to have a Planet Earth mini board so in my late 30's I picked up skating again and decided to look for a mini board. Wasn't sure if this would fit the bill but when it arrived it ended up being exactly what I was looking for! Thanks CCS!
Should have read better
I originally bought this for myself so my daughter and I could skateboard together. Then I received it and realized it is a mini and much smaller than what I'm used to so my daughter got a brand new set up and I'm ordering a new one haha. The board itself is pretty damn sturdy, held me fine (weigh 225lbs) and moved nice. I'm sure my daughter will love this for years to come.
