Are they good for like downhill if i fall in a high speed?

This knee pads remind me of a bipolar person. You are pushing around on your board and they are soft, then Bam, you fall and they get hard and absorb all the shock. I do reconmend wearing them under pants since if you fall when moving you can scrap some of the top layer off. Nice for cruising and freestyle and light freeride, but get hardcaps for faster rides.

So for a pro, they might be alright in the sense that at least they have a back up if they fall but if you are new to sliding or boarding or generally hit the concrete at all then I would stay away from these and get something like 187 killer pads which are amazing. Overall I would say don't buy unless you are confident you won't fall off.
