Who are you? A Merman.. A MERMAAAAAANNNNN!

How long have you been skateboarding? 21 years this year

What companies do you ride for? Almost Skateboards, Globe shoes, Bones Wheels, Bones Bearings, Leftover Hardware, Independent Trucks, Dakine Bags, Glassy Sunhaters.

How often do you go skateboarding? I usually skate everyday a couple of hours. If my friends are skating then I'll skate longer.

What was the first trick you learned? My first flip trick was a 360 under flip with my back foot. I did it into grass. Then a kickflip on a board with no grip tape because the shop I went to didn't have any left and I couldn't wait, haha.

What was the last trick you learned? I don't really have one. I did a kickflip on flat ground the other day that felt like the best thing I had ever done, haha.

How old do you think you will be when you can't kickflip anymore? I have no idea. Haha when the size of my belly says it's time.

What's the scariest thing that's ever happened to you on your skateboard? Every time I try a handrail and my board isn't under my feet.

Which skateboarder has influenced you the most? There is no single skateboarder. My friends influence me the most.

What is one thing you don't like about skateboarding? That it's a non-stop popularity contest.

Do you think skateboarding should be in The Olympics? I like it not being in there, but who cares if it is? It's not gonna take away what my skating means to me. I probably won't make any Olympic team or anything anyway.

What pisses you off when you're out skateboarding? Poor choices that lead to wasted talent.

What up-and-coming skateboarders get you stoked? Again no single person, if they skate like they love it and are nice humans, that gets me stoked.

If you were told you could only skate one spot for the rest of your life, what would it be? Probably a skatepark. It would have everything I would need, and my friends could all come and party and there would be things to skate for everyone. Where is this park? That's a whole different question I would need days to think about, haha.

If you were trapped on a desert island and could bring three skate videos, which would they be? Donut Duty, Welcome To Hell, and an older one like Da Deal Is Dead or Planet Earth vid or something like that.

How do you feel about heel flips? They're super neeeeeeeeeaaaaaaattt!

Is it weird that there's a question about heel flips? Nope, although when Rodney first did a heelflip he didn't consider it a new trick, just a kickflip with your heel.
