100 Kickflips In The Nike SB Bruin Hyperfeel Shoes

What’s the best way to test a pair of skate shoes? Skate them. Seems like a no-brainer, and it surely is, but there’s a difference between skating a pair of shoes and skating them to truly test their durability. We decided to start wear testing skate shoes in a way that really makes sense. We present to you the 100 kickflip challenge! What’s a better way to see how a shoe breaks in and handles the abrasive caress of your grip tape than just throwing it in the line of fire? If a shoe is looking good after 100 straight kickflips, then we’re guessing it deserves a spot on your feet.

Maybe one day, collectively as a staff, we will have done one million kickflips for these things, but today it’s just another hundred. We are however, introducing a new face in to the mix! We grabbed CCS Graphic Designer Matt Obrero to break in the new Nike SB Bruin Hyperfeel Shoes with 100 of his finest kickflips. Well, some of them were his finest and like always some of them were not. Just remember that this is a battle of quantity, not quality. He actually killed it with half of his flicks going over knee high, which is a lot more than we can say for other employees.
