We got our start in San Luis Obispo, California in 1985, back when we were still called California Cheap Skates. What began as a small shop quickly turned into one of skateboarding’s first mail-order operations. Orders were packed in the back room, inventory lived in the spare dressing room, and before long the CCS Catalog became required reading for skateboarders everywhere.
