The Etnies Marana Michelin is what happens when a shoe company doesn’t stop at “good enough.” The Etnies Marana is known for its durability and clean style, but Etnies wasn’t satisfied with just having an incredibly long lasting upper and toecap. Something was missing. Etnies wanted an incredibly durable, flexible, and long lasting outsole to pair with the Marana’s Tough As F*** upper. What they came up with is the Etnies Marana Michelin, a shoe that features an outsole designed by Michelin. The tread is taken from a rally race wheel, and the rubber compound is made from the same stuff found in Michelin’s specialized outdoor tires. The Etnies Marana is now the total package. With a skate-specific outsole that’ll last as long as its durable suede upper with a fused on rubber toe cap, there’s was just one question to ask, “How do the new Michelin Marana’s feel?” To answer this question, we went straight to the source.
