The 2017 Adidas x Helas collab is dropping, and as you should expect, Lucas Puig is the central figure behind it. When most people think of Lucas Puig, they think of style. Whether it’s how he skates or how he dresses, Puig does it with a ton of style. So it’s no wonder that his company, Helas Caps, be ridiculously stylish. And while Helas started as a hat company, it has expanded into a full-blown apparel company that carries everything from tracksuits to bomber jackets. The brand is carried by its logo, an Umbrella, and driven by the tagline “Inspired By The Sky.”
As the owner of Helas and an Adidas Skateboarding team rider, it’s only natural that the two companies should collaborate, and he be the bridge. The last time these brands came together for a collection was in 2013 for the Lucas pro Model x Helas collab. That collection had a white/gold/fairway green color palette reminiscent of the Adidas Skateboarding Stan Smiths. At the time, Helas was building momentum and the collab brought some coverage for both the new Lucas pro shoe model and Helas.
