  • The History of Reebok

Reebok was founded in 1958 by Joe and Jeff Foster. Their desire was to create shoes that were both fast and agile. Reebok's early success came from its innovative design of the first-ever spike-less running shoe, which quickly gained popularity among athletes around the world. The unmistakable Freestyle shoe, made specifically for women, boosted Reebok’s popularity in the 1980s while the iconic “Pump” basketball shoe furthered Reebok’s place as a major player in the athletic shoe industry.

  • Reebok and Skateboarding

Reebok and skateboarding cemented their connections in the early 1990s. Rick Howard wore a pair of Club C’s in 1993’s Virtual Reality video. And when Kareem Campbell was pictured on a Big Brother magazine poster wearing a pair of black/gum Reebok Workouts, skaters around the world were rocking Reeboks. More recently, Reebok has released collaborations with Palace Skateboards, Humidity Skate Shop, Bronze 56k, Dime, and Sneaker Politics furthering its cultish following in skateboarding.

  • Reebok Club C

One of Reebok’s most unmistakable models is the Club C. The shoe's classic and minimalist design has made it a timeless icon, worn by everyone from celebrities to streetwear aficionados to some of the world’s most legendary skaters. The Club C's versatility and ability to complement a wide range of styles add to its enduring popularity. In skateboarding, the Club C’s durable construction and grip have made it a favorite, while the low-cut silhouette gives skaters the flexibility and support they need. The Reebok Club C truly lives up to Reebok’s motto: Iconic Since Day One.
