Wayward Wheels was started in 2014 by Andrew Brophy and Benny Fairfax, two friends of 10 years who both didn’t have a wheel sponsor. With nothing but a willingness to learn and a love for race car aesthetic, the two started Wayward Wheels. Its team consists of some of the most influential names in skating, names such as Lucas Puig, Miles Silvas, and Diego Najera. The race car aesthetic can be seen in the minimalist, design aesthetic of the skate wheels. Unlike a typical wheel graphic, colors and graphics on Wayward Skate Wheels are designed to help accent and highlight the wheels’ shape or exterior. Skateboarding is a highly competitive market, but with a rock solid skate team and its unique design aesthetic it’s developing, Wayward is doing a good job of separating itself from the pack.
