CCS '96 Logo Collection: A Favorite From the CCS Archives

It's been another dynamic week in skateboarding news and CCS is here as usual to help you make sense of it all with our weekly Skate News Roundup. Kicking things off this week is a few big announcements from our very own staff photographer Arto Saari who is now officially a member of the WESC team as well as a professional representative of the newly launched skateboarding line from New Balance—Numeric. In other footwear news, DC just released the first ever pro model from rookie pro Wes Kremer with a compelling ad campaign across the web—Legalize It! Finally, CCS' own SOTY warrior, David Gonzalez, has a new signature shoe out with Globe called The Sabbath. In what was supposed to be a shocking public apology video for his drunken behavior alongside CCS Pro Sierra Fellers on last week's episode of Weekend Buzz, the always charismatic Richie Jackson flipped the script on the internet public and announced his new skateboarding show on Network A.

In roster hops and pro appointments, the buttery smooth footage machine known as Mark Sucio is now pro for Habitat. Meanwhile, Daniel Espinoza was appointed to the Cliche pro ranks last week during the world premiere of Bon Voyage. Finally, Ryan Reyes has been upgraded from flow to full blown am over at Creature. Vans has officially acknowledged the skills of Kyle Walker and added him as a member of its team. Finally, Expedition One finally made official the addition of Tom Remillard to its heavy hitting am squad.

In contest news, Adriano Lachovski walked away as the official victor of last weekend's Phoenix AM. SLS has been making big moves as of late and in addition to last week's tour schedule announcement they officially released he news that Nike SB is this year's tour sponsor. Meanwhile, in the dirty south, Damn Am Atlanta is in full swing. Winners from this event will be announced next week. Stay tuned.
