Congrats on your recent boost to the pro ranks. How has life changed since you turned pro? Bigger checks? More numbers

A lot more people ask for boards, yeah the pay raise isn’t bad, and no numbers from the ladies I have a great one.
In a relatively short time you sort of jumped from team to team. It was 5boro, Birdhouse and then Zoo. What gave you confidence, especially being so young, that you were doing the right thing(s)?
Well i guess i just trusted my instincts and just went with what i thought would be good, and it worked out Zoo is the best and everyone is cool on it.
The Zoo video is all done and you came through with a gnarly part. How was
filming for the video? Intense deadlines or what?
Yeah it was crazy never really having a part before so this was really big and exciting for me, the dead line was harsh just because I wanted to get so much more but it came out good and the whole video was amazing I was really stoked
Are you happy with the way your part turned out? People are still trippin’ over the pyramid ledge lipslide.
Yeah I think the whole video was great it came together really good
What’s up with the Emerica video? Are you filming at the moment for it?
The Emerica video is coming along great its gonna be a mind blower, Yeah I been trying to film as much as possible lately.
Is there any pressure in filming back to back video parts? Are you trying
to one-up your Zoo part?
The only pressure is trying to make a better part then my Zoo part.
Back track now. How did you get into skating?
My next door neighbor Dick had a board and let me use it ever since then I've been skating.
What was skating like growing up on the East Coast? Where did you skate and
who did you skate with?
We had a little skate park called the Sk8 Shop that me and my homies would skate everyday.
How is skating on the East different from the West? Are the spots really
that much more rugged?
Yeah usually the spots are a little shittier I think mainly because of the winter.
At what point did you begin to think that skateboarding might be a career
choice for you?
I never really thought about it I just really enjoyed skating.
You have your own way of skating. Do you try to look at an obstacle
differently when skating it?
No I just try to have as much fun as possible skating.
Where are you living now?
I still live in Wareham I just got a place with my girl
Do you split your time between Coasts?
Not really, I try to stay on the east as much as possible but I've been traveling a lot lately.
Did you have a bike for the Emerica Wild Ride Tour? What’s those tours been
like?
I had a bike but just recently sold it, the Wild Ride Tours are the best trips that I've ever been on and the most memorable and enjoyable.
You have a lot of pop and presumably strong legs. Do you think you could
kick the head clear off a Shetland pony?
I have no idea how tall a Shetland pony is but maybe.
What do you do when not skating?
Hang out with Dewy, my girlfriend, and family and BBQ
What do you have going on for the future?
Just trying to work on a really good part for the Emerica video.
