Skate Mental was started, and is run, by professional skateboarder Brad Staba. Their company is based in San Francisco, California. Brad Staba creates all the designs for the skateboard decks and t-shirts. They are known for its tongue-in-cheek style graphics, such as the Star Wars character C3P0 wearing a pair of skate shoes, and a graphic of a cute puppy with a human hand in his mouth. These and other ironic graphics can be seen on all Skate Mental decks and clothing. They have also done collaborations with other skateboarding brand such as DGK and Nike SB. The campaign for the DGK x Skate Mental collaboration was titled, "DGK Has Gone Mental." The Nike x Skate Mental collaboration featured a line of skate t-shirts, jackets, backpacks, and skateboarding shoes. The team consists of Brad Staba, Tim Zom, Matt Beach, Dan Plunkett, John Motta, and CCS team rider Shane O'Neill. CCS proudly carries a large selection of Skate Mental decks, t-shirts, hats, and accessories.
