Nike Skateboarding, also known as Nike SB, began in 2002. Nike SB is an extended line of footwear and apparel by Nike made for skateboarding. They started with the skate version of the Nike Dunk, and found instant success with Nike SB Dunks. Their shoe line has skate specific features such as increased padding, center low gravity, and Zoom Air insoles. Due to the function of skateboarding shoes, the material quality was increased, including triple stitching which is the standard used for skateboarding shoes.

Testament to Nike's relevance in skateboarding is the huge success of the Nike Stefan Janoski skate shoes. The Nike SB skate team consists of some of the top skateboarders in the world such as Paul Rodriguez, Eric Koston, Gino Iannucci, Stefan Janoski, Lance Mountain, and CCS team riders Shane O'Neill and Brian Anderson. Paul Rodriguez, better known as P. Rod, has a signature line of clothing and accessories within the Nike SB brand. CCS proudly carries all Nike SB shoes.
