Founded by professional skateboarder Jamie Thomas in 2004, Fallen has grown to become a top footwear and clothing brand in the skateboard industry. Thomas' goal with Fallen was to be inspirational to kids, and like a movement of unlikely people coming up. Thomas decided that "Fallen" would be the perfect name for that mission. However, he felt that Fallen seemed kind of negative at first so he made sure "Rise with the Fallen" was on everything they put out.

With the already successful Zero skateboards brand behind him, it was only a matter of time that Fallen would take off in the skateboard world. Fallen shoes are sold and distributed through Thomas' Black Box Distribution. Fallen boasts a team of leading professional skateboarders like Jamie Thomas, Billy Marks, Tommy Sandoval, Brian "Slash" Hansen, Jack Curtin, and James Hardy.
